Job summary

Synth Ai Solutions is seeking a data engineering focused developer to join a newly formed team in Manchester. You will gather requirements from stakeholders, design scalable data pipelines, and lead the development lifecycle for data-driven initiatives.

You will work on data products spanning data science, market data, pricing transformation, and analytics, collaborating closely with AI/ML initiatives. A startup environment experience is beneficial as is a hands-on, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong SQL experience (No-SQL and Snowflake welcome).
• Experience with DBT or Airflow as data tooling.
• Experience working in small teams or startup environments.
• Interest in AI/ML collaboration and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for new data products.
• Apply data analytics and quality tooling to ensure data quality.
• Design and implement data pipelines using best-in-class tools (Airflow, DBT).
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure using Terraform and related tech.
• Proactively bring ideas to improve data practices and processes.

Job description

This will be an opportunity to join a newly established team which has the opportunity to work within a number of interesting projects including Data Science, Market Data and Pricing Transformation, Customer Data and Analytics. As this is a new role, you will be meeting with key stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement the solutions, and lead the development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to power new initiative data products
• Use the latest data analytics and quality tools to ensure data meets strict data standards.
• Design and implement new data pipelines using best in class tools such as Airflow, DBT etc.
• Build a scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure using modern technologies such as terraform
• Bring your own idea to show how we can do things better.

Skills required:

• Strong hands‑on development experience with Python
• Strong SQL experience (Any No‑SQL and/or Snowflake experience)
• Experience with DBT or Airflow
• Experience of working within small teams or a startup environment
• Interest in working closely with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
