Principal Consultant - Data, AI and ML Engineering

London – 4 x days a week in office

We are partnered with a rapidly growing technology/product first company. La Fosse have partnered with this growing business to hire a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture that power both customer-facing applications and internal analytics platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle – from ingestion and transformation to modelling and integration – in a high-growth, product-led environment.

Key responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines to support customer-facing products and internal dashboards
Develop and manage ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources, including APIs
Design and implement data architecture for efficient storage, retrieval, and processing
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver on data requirements

Required experience:

Proven track record in data engineering, data architecture, and scalable data solutions
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow, PyTorch, or Spark
Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments
Knowledge of data modelling, database design, and data normalisation
Familiarity with CI/CD, data quality management, and backend integration (e.g., Python with Django)
Working with data lakes, warehousing, or other modern data storage patterns
Exposure to AWS or Azure and data services such as Apache Airflow, Terraform, or SageMaker
