Job summary

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a data journalist and visual storyteller to join its Editorial & Design team. You will craft data-driven visuals and multimedia content that translate complex financial research into publishable articles across digital channels.

The role emphasizes collaboration with credit analysts, editors, and developers, with a focus on clear communication, accuracy, and innovative visualization approaches. London-based hybrid work model preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in data journalism, visual storytelling, or digital content production in a business media or financial services environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Datawrapper, Flourish or Illustrator.
• Strong technical aptitude with content management systems and publishing workflows.
• Solid knowledge of financial market terminology and concepts; ability to communicate complex data clearly.
• English: Fluent in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce clear data visualizations—charts, infographics, interactive graphics—for articles across digital platforms.
• Collaborate with credit analysts, editors, and developers to transform financial research into multimedia content and data-driven articles.
• Develop and pitch data-driven story ideas using plain language and innovative visualization approaches.
• Manage design projects from submission to publication, ensuring accuracy and brand compliance.
• Perform production tasks including page layout and desktop publishing across report formats with tight deadlines.
• Uphold ethical standards in data reporting and visualization for publication.
