Job summary

Signet Jewelers UK & Ireland is seeking a commercially minded Merchandise Analyst to join our Merchandising team at Croxley Park on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a minimum of 2 days per week on site. You will shape smarter decisions across product, pricing, promotions and inventory using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail analytics, merchandising or commercial analysis environment.
• Proficient with Power BI, Tableau, Fabric, SQL, Python or similar.
• Excellent Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
• Strong numerical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, results-focused approach and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of retail performance drivers and merchandising principles.

Responsibilities

• Delivering insightful hindsight, line planning, and in-season performance analysis.
• Identifying opportunities to improve sales, margin, inventory productivity and customer growth.
• Partnering with Merchandising and Buying teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analysing market trends, competitor pricing and customer behaviour to drive optimisation opportunities.
• Evaluating promotional performance and recommending ways to maximise effectiveness and ROI.
• Using customer, inventory and space productivity metrics to influence future merchandising strategies.
• Monitoring market share performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Supporting inventory optimisation through data-led recommendations.
• Identifying store clustering and localisation opportunities to enhance performance.
• Producing ad hoc analysis and insights for senior stakeholders.
