Job summary

Think Accountancy & Finance are recruiting a Financial Analyst / Management Accountant to join an established finance team in Stoke-on-Trent. The role blends management accounting with detailed financial analysis, reporting and data interpretation across multiple business units.

You’ll prepare management accounts, commentary, KPIs and variance analysis, plus support budgeting, forecasting and year-end activity. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA status required.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills with Power Query, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Power BI experience for dashboards and reporting.
• Experience with large datasets and interpreting financial information.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, commentary, KPIs and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit activity.
• Analyse financial, sales, purchasing, stock and operational data; produce reports and dashboards.
• Improve reporting processes and data quality through continuous improvement.
