Job summary

Digital Data Foundation is sourcing an experienced Data Developer to work with financial data for a major professional services organisation.

You will analyse and model data, develop SQL data warehousing solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights for decision making.

A strong background in SQL, MS SQL Server, SSRS and SSIS, plus data governance awareness, is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data analysis, modelling and warehousing.
• Strong SQL and MS SQL Server experience (SSRS/SSIS).
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis and modelling and assist in the design of data solutions
• Develop a detailed knowledge of the data sources within the finance and related applications
• Interpret requests and develop the necessary skills to deliver the information using the most appropriate solution and in a clear and concise format
• Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and become a go to person for quick, accurate and understandable solutions
• Provide more than task orientated delivery, using problem solving skills to deliver practical solutions and analysis
• Contribute to the on-going development of the firm's financial and reporting applications

Experience

With extensive experience in data analysis and development, data modelling and data warehousing, you will have;

• Expert in SQL and a good knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS
• Design and development of SQL data warehousing and ETL routines
• SQL Server Database Tuning and Query Optimization techniques
• Knowledge of data governance practices, data management and data quality
• Good communication skills - particularly the ability to translate technical and complex detail into understandable language
