A leading cancer center in Manchester is looking for a Data Coordinator to join their Haematology and TYA quality team. This role involves data management, analysis, and reporting to ensure high-quality standards. Candidates should possess a degree and excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. The Christie is pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to join the Haematology and Teenage and Young Adult Service (TYA) to take on a role as Data Coordinator.
Based at the Withington site, you will be a valued member of the Haematology and TYA quality team and work alongside the data coordinator. Your role will involve data management, data analysis and reporting, audit and other duties as assigned to you.
This post will work closely with and be supported by the Quality Officer, and Quality Manager and will work alongside one Data Coordinator.
We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual who is able to work well independently but also as part of a team. You must have good attention to detail, you must ensure the completeness, accuracy and consistency of the work undertaken so that it meets the standards of quality expected within a leading Haematology centre.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and a high level of competency in in all Microsoft packages, especially Excel and the use of databases. Although not essential, a science, mathematical or statistical related degree would be advantageous.
If you have experience in working within clinical audit, information systems and quality management then you are the right person to consider joining the quality team within the Haematology and TYA directorate.
The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.
We provide radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services.
The Christie Haematology service acts as a tertiary referral centre for the management of patients with haematological malignancies and bone marrow failure. Inpatient haematology and transplant services for both adults and Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) patients are provided by the 31 bedded Palatine Treatment Ward, and the 4 bedded Withington Ward. Outpatient haematology services are provided by the Haematology and Transplant Day Unit (HTDU) and the ambulatory care facility. The Christie haematology service has grown extensively over the past few years with the development of new treatments and CAR T. Services are now delivered at 2 other trusts with plans to expand services closer to home further.
