Job summary

MORELA is seeking a Data Consultant in London on a hybrid basis for a 4-month contract, with potential extension to Junior Consultant. You will turn complex, multi-source datasets into actionable insights, dashboards and intelligence for a regulatory-focused pilot programme.

You will work directly with business and technical stakeholders, translating needs into deliverables and ensuring clarity even for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and hands-on experience analysing large-scale data across multiple sources.
• Experience with AWS data services, particularly S3, DynamoDB and Athena.
• Dashboarding and data visualisation in Tableau or Power BI.
• Data quality assessment, validation and improvement.
• Genuine stakeholder skills across business and technical audiences, and the ability to explain technical work in plain English.
• A consulting mindset: delivery-focused, self-managing and credible in front of a client.

Morela is exclusively supporting a leading UK management consultancy on a specialist data engagement. They have been engaged by a major UK financial organisation to stand up a small, specialist data analytics team supporting a pilot data programme, with a single aim: sharper regulatory supervision through better use of data.

THE ROLE

You would join as one of three Data Consultants working alongside a senior lead, turning complex, multi-source datasets into analysis, dashboards and intelligence the end client can act on. It is a delivery-focused role with real technical depth. You work the data yourself, and you are just as comfortable explaining it in plain English to people who do not live in it. The senior lead owns overall client management, but you are still expected to hold your own with business and technical stakeholders day to day.
