Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Data Migration Lead to join its MBAP team in a hybrid role. The candidate will liaise between customers and internal teams on ERP projects, driving data migration strategy and delivery across multiple projects.

The role requires extensive D365 F&SCM data migration experience, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to work across offshore/onshore teams in a dynamic environment with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience of the migration of data into and out of D365 F&SCM.
• Knowledge of data migration solution design.
• Version control experience.
• Understanding of data security and Data Protection requirements.
• At least 3 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of AX or Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM.
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Feels comfortable talking with clients relating to migration requirements and data transition.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
• Ability to work remotely and on customer site. Travel expected.
• Knowledge of the D365 F&SCM Subscription Estimator.
• Knowledge of the HCLTech Data packager tool set and how to deploy using this tool.

HCL Tech’s Microsoft Business Applications Practice - (MBAP) is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Data Migration Lead to join their award-winning and growing team.

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Data Migration Lead will act as a liaison between customer and internal teams on Microsoft Dynamics F&SCM (ERP) projects (implementations, customisations, migrations, and more). The D365 F&SCM Data Migration Lead is responsible, along with the rest of the project team, for meeting the customer requirements and completing the project within scope. They must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organised, and be able to prioritise multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

• To report into the Design Authority leadership and to ensure that all plans are communicated to this team efficiently.
• Act as data migration lead and work with client to demonstrate a clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities
• Lead data migration workshops with customers, document requirements, and designs appropriate solutions
• Advocate for adherence to standards and best practices as well as HCLTech’s Proven Process
• Understand the capabilities of the client data migration development team and schedule the work appropriately, providing support and assistance when needed
• Provide required data migration technical support to our customers during Dynamics 365 Finance &
• Work with functional consultants as they design new functionality, understanding the data migration impact for any change
• Write and review technical specification documentation (if required for changes to entities)
• Design, develop, review and test customized data migration code for Dynamics AX 2012/365 Finance & Operations
• Work with the application test team to ensure that they can effectively test the developed solution
• Work with client personnel to identify required changes and manage client expectations effectively, if required
• Ability to lead an offshore team and work with onshore teams effectively in a diverse environment
• Identify client organisation's strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement
• Ensure no deadlines of projects are slipped and take ownership for given deadlines. Work effectively with Project Managers, updating them on progress of tasks and providing appropriate estimates
• Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment
• Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams
• Owner of Data related activities in the migration and cutover runbooks
• HYBRID – Perform the load tasks for all data entities
• Work with the Leadership team on the project to keep Azure DevOps up to date and to communicate workload upwards
• To raise any risks or issues in a timely manner to the Leadership team on the project.
