Data Cleansing Assistant
  • Salary: £12.29 PAYE / £13.12 Umbrella per hour
  • Location: Maidenhead
  • Contract: 3 Months

Reed is currently hiring on behalf of a client for the position of Data Cleansing Assistant. This role is based within the financial operations team and involves significant responsibility for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the council’s Unit4 Agresso system.

Day-to-day of the role
  • Perform thorough checks and cleansing of master data records across various modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Eliminate duplicate records, update and archive outdated records, and ensure all active records contain accurate and complete information.
  • Gather missing data for suppliers and customers, such as email addresses and finance contact details.
  • Ensure high standards of data accuracy, security, and compliance with internal policies during the data cleansing process.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with suppliers, customers, and colleagues through various channels.
  • Contribute to team collaboration and support a positive work culture within the finance department and other business areas.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Good general education, including GCSEs in English Language and Maths (grade 5/C or above).
  • Background in data management/analysis, finance, or business administration is advantageous.
  • Experience with Unit4/Agresso financial systems is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Strong understanding of data cleansing and validation techniques.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Unit4 (Agresso).
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards, such as GDPR.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet critical deadlines.
