Job summary

Big Red Recruitment is seeking a Business Analyst to own the data change agenda within a large UK organisation. You will drive understanding of the data estate, its impact on the business and the next steps across multiple data initiatives.

You will work at the intersection of business and technology, running workshops, eliciting requirements and partnering with Data Engineering, Architecture and Delivery to translate business needs into actionable requirements for the data transformation

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT change as a Business Analyst.
• Comfortable taking ownership and driving questions forward.
• Familiar with data platforms, pipelines, data lakes, warehousing, reporting and migration.
• Experience with Databricks, data migration, legacy decommissioning or data lake architecture is useful.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to understand current operations and needs.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
• Conduct elicitation, gap analysis and AS-IS/TO-BE process mapping.
• Produce documentation and user stories or functional requirements as needed.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture and Delivery to ensure delivery of the data change portfolio.
