Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Respond to emergency calls as part of on-call rotation.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

Overview

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
  • Respond to off hour emergency calls per on call rotation for any one of the region’s sites
  • Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies
  • Must be commutable to the Thames Valley Region
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Computer Hardware experience
  • 3+ years of Computer Networking experience
  • Associate’s degree or higher in IT-related field applicable certifications or/and equivalent professional or military experience
  • Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications; experience with CISCO, Juniper and other commodity networking devices
  • Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment)
  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license, their own vehicle, and will need to pass a driving record check to operate company vehicles
  • Travel between sites/locations during the workday may occur
  • UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance
  • Data Centres are 24/7 environments. All interested candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts (day/night) as well as weekends
  • Commute to the Thames Valley Region
