Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in computer hardware and networking. The role requires flexibility with rotating shifts and occasional travel. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest safety and security standards while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, gain troubleshooting skills on one or more operating systems, and troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues. Issues are escalated to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary. Create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and convey SOPs to junior staff. Understand all aspects of the equipment you support, innovate, and make decisions on your own while taking direction when given.
Execute small projects independently, work with your manager on larger local projects, act as an escalation point for junior technicians, and understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
Regular schedule Monday to Friday with on‑call rotation and shift coverage during emergencies. May include after‑hours calls, outside business hours, 12‑hour or rotating shifts. Travel up to 10% of the time.
