Data Centre Supervisor (Shift Leader)

65,000 - £68,000

Continental Shift Pattern (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)

A leading critical-environment site in Hayes is recruiting a Data Centre Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations within a live, business-critical data centre.

This is a senior shift role with responsibility for engineering supervision, risk management, and client service, ensuring 100% uptime of critical systems and strict adherence to safety, compliance, and operational procedures.

The Role

• Lead and supervise shift engineers during critical maintenance and operations
• Manage CEWA, Permit to Work, SOPs and EOPs
• Act as an HV Authorised Person, overseeing switching and operational risk
• Apply CERM methodologies and maintain CERMview documentation
• Ensure compliance with RNOW change control and asset management standards
• Drive safe working culture, continuous improvement, and service excellence
• Build strong working relationships with engineers, stakeholders, and client teams

About You

• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
• HV switching qualification / experience (essential)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience in a mission-critical environment (data centre preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Confident managing risk, people, and high-pressure situations

Desirable

• Experience with CEWA, CERM / CERMview, Permit to Work systems, and complex building services environments.
