My client is a leading provider of high-performance data infrastructure, powering mission-critical systems for clients across [industries—e.g. AI/HPC]. Our state-of-the‑art facilities are built for resilience, scalability, and sustainability. We’re now looking for a Data Centre Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations, ensure uptime excellence, and drive continuous improvement at our facility.
The Role
As the Data Centre Site Manager, you will oversee all aspects of site operations—from infrastructure management and vendor coordination to safety, compliance, and team leadership. You’ll be responsible for maintaining 100% operational availability while fostering a culture of reliability, accountability, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all data centre site operations, ensuring uptime, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Oversee maintenance, capacity planning, and infrastructure upgrades (power, cooling, networking, and security systems).
- Manage vendor contracts, service‑level agreements (SLAs), and on‑site contractors.
- Monitor and report on site performance, incidents, and energy efficiency metrics.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, security protocols, and environmental health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with regional and global teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for site‑level incidents or emergencies.
About You
- Proven experience in data centre operations, facilities management, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and incident management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001, or Uptime Institute standards preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, operational data, and system logs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience managing mission‑critical or data centre facilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDCP, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
