DARA PEOPLE LTD. in the UK is seeking a hands-on Project Lead to deliver complex ML infrastructure upgrades within hyperscale data centres.

You will drive contractor delivery from appointment through construction, integration and commissioning, with a strong emphasis on liquid cooling and M&E infrastructure. This is a construction and infrastructure delivery role, not a software project; you will coordinate power, cooling, and network interfaces across multiple stakeholders and ensure on-time

Professional Services / PMC ML Project Lead – Data Centres

? UK / Ireland Remote

? Up to £100,000 + major hyperscale data centre programme

Data centre construction + complex MEP + next-generation liquid cooling. This is a high-impact Project Lead role delivering critical Machine Learning infrastructure upgrades across a hyperscale EMEA data centre environment.

If you're a confident, hands-on data centre PM who knows how to drive contractors, manage complex interfaces and get technical infrastructure commissioned properly, this is worth a conversation.

About the role

You'll lead complex ML infrastructure upgrades from contractor appointment through construction, integration and commissioning, with a major focus on liquid cooling and M&E infrastructure.

This isn't a software/AI project management role. It's a construction and infrastructure delivery position requiring strong data centre experience and ideally a mechanical bias.

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead contractor delivery, scope, change orders, SoWs and RFIs.
• Manage programme, critical-path milestones and site execution.
• Coordinate dependencies with the wider data centre fit-out, including power, cooling and Hot Aisle Containment.
• Drive delivery of significant liquid cooling / CDU infrastructure.
• Coordinate electrical, mechanical and fibre/network interfaces.
• Manage OFE, integrator and supply-chain dependencies against critical need-by dates.
• Lead M&E commissioning through Level 3 CDU commissioning, supporting Operations into Level 4.
• Own delivery risks, reporting and lessons learned across the programme.

What we're looking for

• Strong data centre construction / infrastructure delivery experience.
• Proven delivery of complex MEP / M&E packages.
• Strong contractor, programme and site management capability.
• Experience taking technical infrastructure through commissioning and handover.
• A confident communicator who can drive multiple technical and commercial stakeholders.

Personality matters. You'll need to be confident, friendly, dynamic and delivery-focused — someone comfortable challenging contractors and driving decisions while building strong relationships across the project.

Particularly useful experience

A mechanical background would be highly valuable, particularly experience involving liquid cooling, CDUs, high-density cooling or major mechanical infrastructure.

Experience within hyperscale environments, PMC/client-side delivery, brownfield/live data centres, OFE coordination, fibre infrastructure or Level 3/4 commissioning would also translate well.
