Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer in Manchester. The role focuses on early-stage development of data centres and critical IT infrastructure, with FEED responsibilities and direct interaction with company directors.

You will sign off contractor work, deliver feasibility studies, and create technical specifications while progressing to a technical lead for mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Building Services Design Engineer with a mechanical background.
• Knowledge of FEED / early concept project work.
• Experience with HVAC, ventilation, cooling, or cold-water loops.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients on early concepts for mechanical systems within Data Centres.
• FEED of mechanical systems within Data Centres.
• Create specifications and review proposals for the design team.
• Tailored development plan to progress your career.
• Work with a closely knit team of technical experts.
• Sign off contractors' work and deliver feasibility studies.
