Job summary

GH Engage is seeking a Critical Shift Engineer for a Data Centre Maintenance role in the Northwest Surrey area. The role covers operation, maintenance and fault-finding of critical electrical and mechanical systems in a high-uptime facility.

The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and data centre or critical environment experience, with expertise in UPS, generators, transformers, LV distribution, BMS and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Data centre or critical environment experience preferred.
• Experience with UPS, generators, transformers, LV distribution, BMS and critical cooling systems.
• LVAP/HVAP experience highly desirable.
• Experience with HV/LV switching, SOPs, EOPs and critical procedures.
• Strong fault-finding and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and fault-find critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure to maximise uptime.
• Maintain and manage data centre facilities to ensure high reliability.
• Monitor systems and respond to incidents in a busy critical environment.
• Work within a continental day/night shift pattern (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).
