The role requires 5–10+ years in data centre design or delivery, deep MEP knowledge, and strong client-facing communication.

Location: London / Flexible (Hybrid)

Salary: £65,000 – £90,000 + Bonus

Are you an experienced data centre engineering or construction specialist looking to step away from traditional project delivery and move into high-level, strategic advisory work? A premier, fast-growing digital infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Data Centre Consultant to join their team in London. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to global investors, developers, and operators, guiding major international projects across the full lifecycle—from feasibility and design management to supply chain procurement and construction oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Client Advisory: Guide clients through technical due diligence, feasibility studies, layout design, and program delivery strategies.
• Technical Oversight: Provide subject matter expertise across MEP critical systems (cooling, power, resilience), buildability, and project phasing.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design consultants, PMs, engineers, and key client stakeholders.
• Deliverable Excellence: Produce high-quality technical reports, memos, design reviews, and risk assessments for international digital infrastructure investments.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in data centre design, construction, or project delivery (preferably with an operator, contractor, or engineering firm).
• Deep technical understanding of critical MEP systems and data centre delivery best practices.
• Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (Chartered status is a plus).
