Job summary

Reboot Monkey in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide on-site support at our local data center facilities in Luton. You will perform Remote Hands tasks, rack installations, and general hardware maintenance.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift 25kg+ equipment. Flexible scheduling, including weekends for urgent requests, is expected and supported by a responsive on-call system.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Luton, United Kingdom to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
