Job summary

Google is looking for an Operations Technician to support its cutting-edge hardware infrastructure in Waltham Cross. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain servers and components, and help with network configurations to support Google's data center operations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs of equipment, the required use of safety equipment such as limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and PPE.

  • Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance and support of Google Cloud region infrastructure.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
  • Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
  • Configure and troubleshoot OS-related issues on server.
