Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Facilities/Infrastructure Maintenance Associate to join our operations team in Slough. You will perform semi-routine maintenance checks and assist with non-critical repairs under guidance, ensuring uptime of critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and proven years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-routine preventative maintenance checks on-site for non-critical facility components.
• Performs semi-routine repairs and installations to non-critical facility components.
• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and responds to semi-routine alarms per SOP.
• Assists senior staff in higher facility repairs and corrective maintenance.
• Operates plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems under supervision.
• Follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new tasks.
• Coordinates with vendors to ensure maintenance activities meet Equinix requirements.
• Supports work order approvals for service providers and tracks progress.
• Ensures vendor activities follow SOPs.
• Performs semi-routine site logs for permits and operates SOPs for on-site admin.
• Completes semi-routine work requests and circuit installations.
• Supports incident response and assists senior staff on infrastructure projects.
• Notifies stakeholders of inventory needs to maintain stock.
