Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking a Software Engineer, Network Automation for our data-center fabrics. You will design and implement scalable leaf-spine underlays, EVPN/VXLAN overlays, and automation tooling to keep large AI workloads flowing.

The role emphasizes production-grade software and strong networking fundamentals. Go experience is helpful but not required; primary focus is reliability, observability, and efficient change management in a vendor-neutral environment.

Qualifications

Deep hands-on experience with leaf-spine fabrics and EVPN/VXLAN.
Strong understanding of multi-tenant data-center networks.
Experience building/operating production network automation systems.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve leaf-spine underlays and EVPN/VXLAN overlays for AI infra.
Translate fabric requirements into APIs, data models, and automation.
Build reliable control-plane software to reconcile desired and observed state.
Design safe change workflows with validation and rollback.
Integrate with data-center switch OS and management APIs with vendor-neutral abstractions.
Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot incidents.
Review designs and code, communicate trade-offs across teams.
Develop tests to improve software and architecture.
