Job summary

Equinix is seeking an entry-level Facilities/Infrastructure Maintenance role to support routine site operations in a busy data-centre environment in Greater London. The role focuses on basic maintenance tasks under close supervision, ensuring non-critical components operate reliably and safety procedures are followed.

You will collaborate with vendors, assist with incident response, and help keep logs and SOPs up to date.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma and proven year of equivalent work experience.
• Experience with basic maintenance tasks is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic preventative maintenance checks on-site to non-critical facility components
• Performs basic repairs and maintenance to non-critical facility components
• Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) by following standard operating procedures; works under close supervision in responding to basic alarms
• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work; works under close supervision
• Coordinates with vendors on standard operating procedures
• Supports basic site logs for permits, such as: Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts
• Completes basic routine work order facility requests under supervision.
• Assists in routine incident management requests
• Provides assistance to departments during routine maintenance activities
• Provides basic assistance to more senior staff on infrastructure projects; may shadow projects for learning
