Structured Data Cabling Engineer - Guildford

SC Cleared (or the ability to obtain)

Skills and Experience
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, in various environments
  • Conduct site surveys to assess cabling requirements for monitoring systems
  • Install cable containment systems, including conduits, trunking, cable trays and baskets
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure that installations are completed within the project timelines
  • Test and troubleshoot cable systems to ensure proper functioning of connected devices.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in structured cabling systems
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and best practices
  • Install Wi‑Fi access points, UPS units and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, tests and faults
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Optional fibre optic installation, termination and test
