Job description

Morgan Hunt are working with a UK GOV organisation who are looking for a Data Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis through the end of March 2026. This is a replacement headcount, and the role is inside IR35, Rate approx £425 per day.

Key Projects

GDPR Compliance: A critical program involves reviewing all existing data to determine whether to replace, archive, or retrain it. The goal is to ensure that data management is compliant with GDPR moving forward. The successful candidate will work closely with a leaver on‑site and a new Lead BA starting in the new year, acting as a liaison to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure a smooth transition.

Organisational Funds Review: This project focuses on understanding how funds flow through the organization. The analyst will need to learn the overarching process model, from business processes to data flow.

Responsibilities
  • Running workshops and process modeling/mapping.
  • Utilizing BPM/UML methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Mural, and JIRA.

The ideal candidate will excel in stakeholder engagement, a strong technical background in Data, and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively with various teams. A strong emphasis is placed on listening and understanding how different components of the organization work together, rather than simply directing others.

Experience in the public sector is preferred, as we seek someone who can integrate smoothly into the existing team dynamics without causing disruption.

This is a remote position, with the rare possibility of on‑site visits.
