Job description

We are seeking a Business/Systems Analyst - Data to play a key role in supporting the development and rollout of our Common Data Model (CDM). You'll work across multiple source systems and help ensure data is mapped, transformed, and delivered accurately into the CDM, and from the CDM into regulatory reporting, dashboards, and MI.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with business SMEs, engineers, and architects to analyse data structures and requirements
  • Perform detailed data mapping from source systems to CDM and from CDM to target domains
  • Define transformation logic, business rules, and ensure harmonisation of data
  • Validate mappings using SQL/BigQuery through profiling, reconciliation, and testing
  • Maintain mapping documentation and contribute to the data catalogue
  • Identify and help resolve data quality issues
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in data mapping, integration, or ETL processes
  • Hands‑on SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms (preferably GCP/BigQuery)
  • Ability to interpret complex data structures and translate them into business-friendly outputs
  • Background in financial services data, especially lending or credit
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with CDM frameworks or canonical data models
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting in UK banking
  • Experience with data catalogue/metadata management tools
