Job summary

A consultancy firm is seeking a Data Architect for a temporary project with Thurrock Council. The role involves expertise in data architecture, governance, and analysis to improve services and strategies. Candidates should have strong skills in data visualisation, SQL, and be able to communicate with diverse stakeholders. This role pays £52.42 per hour PAYE or £67.53 per hour through limited/umbrella arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, modelling, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools and methodologies.
• Advanced skills in SQL, R, Python, and other analytical tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Logical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in managing data quality and supporting business intelligence architecture.

Responsibilities

• Apply techniques for analysing and synthesising data from internal and external sources.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote data literacy and culture.
• Manage data governance practices and maintain data dictionaries.
• Produce and maintain data models and reverse-engineer models from live systems.
• Support data quality assurance and validation.
• Implement batch cleansing processes and develop auditing systems.
• Use data visualisation tools to present complex information.
• Apply IT and mathematical skills using relevant tools.
• Respond effectively to problems in databases and data processes.
