Consult is seeking an experienced data-architecture leader to own the federated metadata architecture, including the central discovery layer and domain catalogues for market data and reporting. You will collaborate with client teams to extend existing catalogue models and shape the knowledge graph that enables AI-enabled discovery.

The role requires designing domain metadata models, machine-derived metadata strategies, and a robust governance approach, with ownership and stakeholder coordination

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data architecture or data platform roles including 3+ years in metadata management, data governance or data cataloguing across a large data estate.
• Architectural experience with enterprise data catalogues (DataHub, OpenMetadata, Collibra or similar).
• Knowledge of metadata and lineage standards (OpenLineage, Open Data Contract Standard).
• Experience with federated (hub-and-spoke) metadata architectures and contracts between central and domain catalogues.

Responsabilités

• Own the federated metadata architecture: central discovery layer and domain catalogues.
• Design domain metadata models with client teams and extend existing catalogue models.
• Define approach to machine-derived metadata and quality scoring.
• Design semantic layer with business-term definitions and knowledge graph.
• Act as design authority for the engineering pod and ensure alignment across implementations.
• Represent design in client governance and coordinate with parallel security workstreams.
• Shape phased delivery plans and prerequisites for implementation.
