Advanced Resource Managers Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Data Architect to define the target-state data architecture and governance to support reporting, analytics, and future AI initiatives.

The role is a 6-month contract with two days a week in Glasgow, paying £600 a day Inside IR35 via Umbrella. You will ensure data is structured, secured, and managed effectively for the organization.

Formación

• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data solutions (Azure) and Databricks.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and master data management.
• Experience with relational and analytical data models.

Role Overview

The Data Architect will define the overall data architecture, standards, and governance framework for the solution. This role ensures data is structured, secured, and managed effectively to support operational reporting, analytics, and future AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define data models, standards, and governance policies.
• Establish data security, quality, and retention principles.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
• Provide architectural oversight across data engineering and analytics delivery teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions, preferably Azure & Databricks.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and master data management.
• Experience with relational and analytical data models.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of modern data mesh or data lakehouse architectures.
