£35,000 to £47,000 pro-rata plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
10-month secondment/fixed-term contract
Manchester city centre (hybrid)

We’re looking for a Data and Machine Learning Analyst to join our Advanced Analytics & Insights team on a 10-month fixed-term contract in Manchester. In this role, you’ll help us make the most out of our data across Co‑op. We’ll look to you to use advanced analytical techniques to support projects and help colleagues put data at the heart of their decision‑making.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver end‑to‑end analytics projects using advanced techniques and data from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Co‑op to spot opportunities for data‑driven decision‑making
  • Build a deep understanding of how your work connects to wider business goals
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Support the development and deployment of statistical machine learning models to inform strategy
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in data analytics and strong data modelling skills
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python or similar tools
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets
  • A strong numeracy background (e.g., maths, statistics, or equivalent)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to make data accessible and engaging
