40,000 - 45,000 + circa 15% bonus, a generous pension and other excellent benefits

The Company

My client is a large and nationally recognised financial services business who are known for being one of the UK's 'great places to work', having won multiple awards.

They are headquartered in the West Midlands with the requirement to be on-site 1 day per week on average.

The Role

As a Data & Insights Specialist you will play a pivotal role in enabling data-led decision making across an Enterprise Business Change Portfolio. This is a key role that supports the successful delivery of business change initiatives by providing expert analysis, performance tracking, and visual storytelling to senior stakeholders including ExCo.

This is a newly created role as a result of continued growth and will have the scope to move into more of a leadership capacity in the medium term. Any aspirations to lead and drive continuous improvement or challenge the norm alongside the head of department are welcomed!

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver insightful analysis and reporting using advanced data manipulation and visualisation techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytical needs and provide thematic insights that enhance decision making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and resource allocation trends, offering recommendations to optimise delivery outcomes.
  • Lead the production of accurate, timely, and engaging reports that support portfolio governance and performance tracking.
  • Support budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring to ensure financial alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to build data literacy and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Analyse programme and project controls to identify risks, issues, and dependencies, helping to mitigate potential impacts.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a Data and Insight role ideally within a Change or Project Management environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Power BI and Excel for data visualisation and modelling.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and present findings clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build relationships
  • Leadership / coaching experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Any business improvement experience would also be a bonus.
