Job description
Overview

Department: Operations

Location: Birmingham

Compensation: £28,000 / year

As Data and Compliance Integrity Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring all Tiro apprentices begin their journey with us successfully, through an enrolment and admission experience that’s timely, seamless and dependable, enabling learners and employers to focus on what matters most—growth, innovation, and success.

We’re Tiro. We’ve been helping hungry apprentices join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we believe that great apprenticeships help everyone, because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. Our work is never just about filling vacancies. It’s about changing the world. We’re helping to find people who are driving innovation in sustainable materials, improving the efficiency of UK manufacturing, and shaping the technologies of the future. And we’re proud to be playing our part.

The Role

In this role, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps our apprenticeship data, systems, and funding compliance watertight. You’ll be a guardian of data, accuracy, and integrity — ensuring every learner record, every ILR upload, and every audit trail stands up to scrutiny.

You’ll be part of a collaborative compliance team that supports every stage of the learner journey. We’ll train you across all compliance areas — from admissions and data integrity to exams and funding claims — so you have the confidence to support wherever needed. You’ll also develop your own area of focus, becoming the go-to person for that specialism, while staying flexible to provide cover and share knowledge across the team.

You'll own the first chapter of the learner story, delivering a dependable, high-quality admissions experience that sets every learner up for success from day one.

You’ll be the heartbeat of our funding data, ensure rock-solid learner data and audit readiness and guide learners confidently across the finish line.

About You

We’re not interested in a tick-box list of qualifications. We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude, aptitude, and credibility.

As our Data and Compliance Integrity Officer, you will:

  • Have awesome organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, competing demands and able to keep up with the pace of a scale up organisation.
  • Be meticulous, disciplined and curious. You don’t just follow a process - you question, refine and improve it, asking smart questions and digging into the detail
  • Be confident and capable with data and enjoy checking, cleaning, and interpreting data until it tells a clear, accurate story.
  • Be resilient, grounded, and growth-focused. You stay steady when things shift. You take setbacks in your stride. You don’t dwell on problems, you learn from them, adapt quickly, and keep things moving forward.
Safeguarding

This role involves contact with learners aged 16 and over. Tiro is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all our learners, staff, and customers. We fully recognise our responsibilities for protecting vulnerable groups. It is our policy to promote the safety, health, and well-being of everyone we work with. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken as part of your application, and if successful, you’ll be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for the position.

The Package

We LOVE people — the apprentices brimming with potential, the business leaders hungry for talent, and our brilliant team who make it all happen.

At Tiro, we’ll look after you because we’re nothing without our people. We’ll never take you for granted, and we’ll make sure work is rewarding, challenging, and fun. In turn, we’ll ask you to treat our clients and apprentices the same way — helping people get their big break and enabling businesses to grow.

You’ll receive:

  • Salary: £28,000 per annum
  • Holidays: 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working: Choose your own hours (37.5 per week)
  • Hybrid working: a split between our modern Birmingham office and remote working
  • Pension: 5% employee / 3% employer contribution
  • Perks: Staff events, away days, and regular CPD opportunities
  • Progression: Fantastic opportunities to grow with us
