Job summary

PER is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager to join our London-based team. You will monitor and analyse portfolio companies, using AI to deliver updates and board-ready insights, and support pre-deal diligence with rigorous data work.

You will champion AI to improve internal efficiencies, identify new workstreams, and present clear figures and strategic recommendations to the board. You will bring 4–9 years of relevant experience and a strong academic background in data science or analytics.

Qualifications

• 4–9 years of experience in data & AI within private equity or related field.
• Experience at PE-focused data/AI consultancy or in-house analytics teams.
• Data science or AI team experience within a fund or portfolio environment.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starter with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse portfolio companies using AI for updates.
• Deliver practical data analysis, turning pricing data into board-level insight.
• Utilise AI to support pre-deal diligence.
• Present to the board with figures and reasoning for strategic initiatives.

What The Job Involves

• Monitoring and analysing portfolio companies, using AI to provide monitoring updates
• Deliver practical data analysis, such as turning pricing data into board-level insight
• Utilising AI to support pre-deal diligence
• Presenting to the board and providing the figures and reasoning with which to implement strategic initiatives in portfolio companies
• Championing AI to improve internal efficiencies
• Finding internal and external workstreams that can be developed and helping to implement changes

Who we are looking for

• 4-9 years of experience as one of the following:
• Consultant from a specialised private equity focused data & AI consultancy firm
• Data/analytics leaders at scale-up SaaS & data businesses
• In-house data scientist or AI team member from a private equity fund
• Strategy consultant with heavy involvement in data science & analytic practices
• Keen interest in AI and using it to improve efficiency
• Understanding of PE, the deal process, value creation, data rooms and smaller technology companies
• Strong academic background
• Entrepreneurial and a self-starter, able to identify problem areas and develop suitable initiatives
