Job summary

Akkodis is leading a major UK public sector digital transformation programme as a Senior Data Analyst / Data Analytics Engineer. You will transform complex data into insights, enabling evidence-based decisions via analytics, reporting, and data science across a large-scale platform.

You'll work at the intersection of data analytics, business intelligence, and cloud technologies to design and deliver innovative solutions with real national impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with DOMO dashboards, datasets, dataflows and connectors.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data queries and modelling.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analytics, automation or modelling.
• Proven ability to integrate data from APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and data models.

The Opportunity

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Analytics Engineer to join a newly established team delivering a major UK public sector digital transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale, data-driven platform that will support critical workforce and talent initiatives. You'll play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable insights, helping stakeholders make informed decisions through advanced analytics, reporting, and data science. Working at the intersection of data analytics, business intelligence, and modern cloud technologies, you'll help design and deliver innovative solutions that have a meaningful impact on a nationally significant programme.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive DOMO dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources including SaaS applications, APIs, and public datasets.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines to support scalable analytics and reporting.
• Develop data models and analytics frameworks that enable self-service reporting and business intelligence.
• Apply advanced analytics, forecasting, and data science techniques to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and compliance.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with DOMO, including dashboards, datasets, dataflows, and connectors.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience using Python or R for analytics, automation, or modelling.
• Proven experience integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

Desirable

• Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI technologies.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure data platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, GDPR, and secure data management practices.
• Experience working within large-scale transformation or government programmes.
• Relevant certifications in DOMO, AWS, Azure, or Data Analytics.
