Job summary

Mace is seeking a Data Analyst to support compilation, assurance, analysis and reporting of PDP Applications for Payment, including time booking, expenses and subcontractors. London-based, with flexibility for hybrid working.

You will review existing data flows to improve consistency, identify and develop solutions, and deliver enhanced analysis through dashboards using Excel and Power BI. Strong data modelling and data quality discipline is required, with hands-on experience in Power Query and

  • Understanding of data structuring and validation to prevent downstream errors.
  • Experience using automation and scripting (Excel formulas, Power Query M language, VBA) to manipulate data.

Data Analyst to support compilation, assurance, analysis and reporting of PDP Applications for Payment including time booking and charges, expenses, subcontractors. Reviewing existing data flows to improve consistency, identifying and developing solutions for improving efficiency of current processes and tools together with developing enhanced analysis through dashboards.

Successful candidates must have experience within Water Infrastructure projects, London Based, only considering candidates with right to work in the UK.

You’ll Need To Have
  • AdvancedMicrosoft Excelskills, including working confidently across multiple inter‑linked spreadsheets and large datasets.
  • Strong understanding ofdata structuring and validation in Excel, with the ability to identify and correct inconsistencies in source data to prevent downstream errors.
  • Experience usingautomation and scripting(e.g. Excel formulas, Power Query M language, VBA or equivalent) to manipulate, cleanse, reconcile, and compare data from multiple sources.
  • Proven capability in buildingautomated data transformation and reporting workflows using Excel Power Query, including refreshable queries and repeatable processes.
  • Ability to designrobust, maintainable data modelswithin Excel, with clear logic and documentation to support reuse and auditability.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the reporting lifecycle.
  • Desirable experience inintegrating Excel-based data flows into Power BI, including use of Power Query and data models shared between tools.
  • Desirable skills inbuilding Power BI dashboards and visualisations, presenting complex data clearly for stakeholders and decision‑making.
