Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking a Data Analyst with SQL and Python skills for a London-based investment management trading platform. The role sits in a hybrid team focusing on data acquisition, governance and analytics to support investment decision making.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of financial services experience, strong data modelling and BI development capabilities in Power BI, and hands-on experience with SQL Server and modern data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Analyst experience in a Financial Services environment, with emphasis on Risk or cross-asset derivatives.
• Strong data modelling, cleansing and enrichment capabilities across conceptual, logical and physical layers.
• Experience with data warehousing and analytical data structures, quality assurance and data lineage.
• Experience building BI models and dashboards, preferably Power BI.
• Proficiency with SQL Server and data integration tools (SSIS, Data Factory).

Responsibilities

• Analyse risk data sourcing, data flows and storage across the organisation.
• Support migration of legacy data warehouse to a strategic data platform.
• Collect and migrate data from multiple systems into the central Data Platform with Data Management Team.
• Analyse normalised transactional and analytic data sources.
• Model data to support reporting structures and dashboards.
