An NHS Foundation Trust in Doncaster is seeking a skilled data analyst to provide high-quality reporting and develop key intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of NHS data definitions, proficiency in SQL and Power BI, and the ability to influence through data-driven insights. The post holder will be responsible for providing top quality outputs from existing and new data sources in the form of reporting, dashboards and user accessed tools. The post holder will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of key intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
The post holder is required to use a range of descriptive and analytical statistical techniques, including the use of formulas in Excel spreadsheets several times a month. There will also be a requirement to influence managers and clinicians using narrative and graphic tools that explain the data and its consequences.
The post holder will provide effective assurance performance reporting to both internal and external stakeholders; this will include flagging areas of recognition or concern and ensuring there is a robust process of validation and reporting in line with defined and agreed timescales.
The post holder will provide performance support to colleagues across operational and corporate services to maintain compliance with achievement of all key targets, whether externally or internally set.
The post holder will be expected to effectively and openly engage and exchange information on their work with other colleagues in the Contracts Performance and CQUIN Team to promote joined‑up work and sharing of best practice.
