Job summary

Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management is seeking a Data Analyst in Glasgow to transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You will analyse large datasets, collaborate with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, and map data into meaningful, decision-ready formats.

The role focuses on data modelling and pipelines, with strong SQL skills and Python or R, plus advanced Excel.

Qualifications

Experience with data mapping and data modelling to translate requirements into structured data solutions.
Strong SQL skills and/or Python/R and advanced MS Excel.
Knowledge of Financial Services Data Domains and journeys.
Experience with data governance and data quality controls.
Stakeholder management and ability to present to senior audiences.
Experience with visualization tools to create reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

Investigate data quality, lineage, controls, and source identification.
Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
Apply advanced analytics to large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Translate analytics into actionable business recommendations for operational improvements.
