Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking a Supply Chain Performance Data Analyst to support development, management and improvement of Logistics and Materials data while transitioning to Oracle Cloud. You will manage data migration, validation and cleansing while helping improve reporting and data maturity.

Working across Logistics, Materials Management and the Oracle transformation project, you’ll ensure data is accurate, accessible and used to drive operational and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), with a minimum of two A-Levels in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience of data manipulation and report writing.
  • Experience working with performance-reporting software tools.
  • Experience of report verification and contributing to data-quality and performance tools.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • A HND or equivalent qualification in Business, Procurement, or a related subject.
  • Experience of supply chain performance management and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation and migration of Logistics and Materials data into Oracle Cloud.
  • Developing performance reports, dashboards and management information to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Improve data quality, governance and reporting standards across Logistics and Materials Management.
  • Support system testing and validating data and reporting outputs.
  • Assist teams to digitise and automate manual processes using Microsoft 365, Co-pilot and other digital tools.
  • Work with operational teams and project colleagues to translate business needs into practical data solutions.
  • Support colleagues to adopt new systems, reports and data-led ways of working.
  • Analyze, cleanse, validate and present operational or supply chain data.
  • Communicate data clearly to stakeholders across multiple teams.

Job description

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Performance Data Analyst to support the development, management and improvement of Logistics and Materials data while helping Northern Powergrid prepare for and transition to Oracle Cloud.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys combining project-based data work with ongoing operational analysis. You’ll support data migration, validation and cleansing activities while helping our Logistics and Materials teams improve reporting, strengthen data maturity and make better use of digital tools.

Working across Logistics, Materials Management and the Oracle transformation project, you’ll help ensure our supply chain data is accurate, accessible and used effectively to support operational and strategic decisions.

Along with a competitive salary of between £34,344 - £39,671 we also offer;

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation and migration of Logistics and Materials data into Oracle Cloud.
  • Developing performance reports, dashboards and management information that identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Improving data quality, ownership, governance and reporting standards across Logistics and Materials Management.
  • Supporting system testing and validating data and reporting outputs.
  • Helping teams digitise and automate manual processes using Microsoft 365, Co-pilot and other available digital tools.
  • Working with operational teams, subject-matter experts and project colleagues to translate business needs into practical data solutions.
  • Supporting colleagues to adopt new systems, reports and data-led ways of working.
  • Experience analysing, cleansing, validating and presenting operational or supply chain data.
  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and Power BI, with experience using tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, SharePoint and Microsoft Lists.
  • Experience using Microsoft Co-pilot or other AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, reporting, productivity or business processes.
  • Experience producing dashboards, performance reports and management information from large or complex datasets.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and root-cause analysis skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate data clearly and work effectively with operational, project and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting data migration, systems implementation, process digitisation or automation.
  • Knowledge of Logistics, Materials Management, inventory or warehouse operations.
  • Experience of Oracle Cloud SCM, Oracle E-Business Suite or another enterprise resource planning system.
