A leading water utility firm in the UK is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to provide insights from smart metering data. The role offers competitive salary, hybrid working arrangements, and a range of employee benefits. Ideal candidates will possess strong data analysis skills, experience with SQL and Power BI, and a commitment to data protection. Join us in making a difference for millions of customers.
At Thames Water, we’re leading the way in smart water metering – installing hundreds of thousands of cutting-edge smart meters to provide deeper consumption insights and support our customers in using water more efficiently. Behind every meter is a wealth of data, and we’re looking for a skilled Data Analyst to help transform that data into actionable insight.
In this pivotal role, you’ll support the delivery of Thames Water’s smart metering rollout by providing critical data insight and reporting across all stages of the programme. You will be responsible for tracking rollout progress and managing campaign performance, including pre- and post-installation analysis. This will involve assessing a wide range of factors, such as customer property types, meter and asset bases, communication network availability, regulatory obligations, stock levels, and budgetary constraints.
Working closely with the Data and Strategy Manager, you’ll help evaluate programme outputs and outcomes, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insight for the wider business. You’ll also collaborate with the Smart Metering Operations Centre (SMOC) team to monitor key activities and processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the programme.
Location: Hybrid - Langley Bus Park - Slough, Berkshire.
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
