The Hours: Full time, Monday-Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, Friday 8 am - 3 pm

Our client provides financial products to their clients and are a committed, responsible and ethical organisation who offer solutions and strongly believe in using data for good. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the company, with a unique opportunity to shape how the company uses data to reduce risk, increase their ethical impact and offer solutions to their clients.

Joining our client’s team, but growing team, the successful candidate, as Data Analyst, working with multiple systems, will play a real part in supporting the business to make better, and fairer financial decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Analysing data to assess trends
  • Supporting the monitoring and development of risk scorecards and decisioning logic
  • Investigating customer trends and outcomes
  • Working with Credit Risk Agency Gateway and Open Banking to spot risk indicators to inform decisions
  • Develop dashboards for internal use across teams
  • Help shape data-driven policies to ensure the business remains inclusive and responsible at all times
  • Collaborate with internal teams including underwriting, lending and finance
Qualifications
  • Applicants will ideally have a degree or apprenticeship
  • Experience of using SAS, SQL, Python, or R would be advantageous
  • Statistical experience is also required
  • Exceptional numerical experience with strong ability to interpret numbers and tell clear data stories
  • A strong interest in financial inclusion, credit risk or fintech would be helpful
  • Applicants who have worked within credit or lending will be at an advantage, but this is not essential
  • Experience of using Open Banking or Credit Risk Agency Gateway would also be beneficial
  • Applicants who have had exposure to FCA guidelines will be at an advantage, but again this is not essential
  • Confidence using Excel is required
  • Experience using data tools such as Power BI, Tableau would be nice to have
