Location : Poole

Salary : to £50k DOE + annual discretionary bonus c 10% of annual salary

Hours : 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri Office based (some hybrid after probation)

Now looking for an experienced, highly analytical and detail focused Data Analyst to help them work out what the data is currently doing for the business and helping set up and analyse new processes to make that more accessible.

The successful Data Analyst will
  • Be a real team player
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Have proven experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role
  • Know how to design and put together a database and databases generally. This will include lots of reporting
  • Have experience of working out what the data is currently doing for the business and how to make it better
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred skills and qualifications of the Data Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related
  • Proficient in SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Practical experience in developing data warehouse solutions as part of a broader data architecture
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric implementations, including Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or SSRS
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Python, R, or SAS is advantageous
  • Experience with Power Platform tools, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and DAX / M languages in Power BI
  • Previous involvement in reporting and analytics for CRM and ERP systems.

In this role, you will harness data from across the organisation to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, enhance risk management, and improve operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in shaping the future data architecture of the business.

This includes ensuring that their technical platforms, data models, and analytical capabilities are aligned with both current needs and the long-term vision of becoming a truly data driven organisation.

You will work closely with stakeholders across all operational levels and departments, identifying opportunities to maximise the value of data.

Additionally, you will provide guidance on the effective use of business analytics platforms, promote the adoption of corporate data models, and support the principles of data ownership and governance.

Responsibilities of the Data Analyst
  • Analyse and document the data structures of all core applications and reporting systems
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a scalable, modern technical data architecture
  • Support the development and maintenance of standardized data artefacts and models to meet the company’s Management Information (MI) requirements
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI and Excel, under the direction of the Head of IT
  • Assess the impact and risks to data integrity resulting from changes in the company’s application and technology landscape
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all systems and reporting outputs
  • Perform impact assessments and scenario modelling to inform strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop functional-level reports that support core operational processes
