Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join our Health Division's healthcare data analytics team in the UK. You will gather data, cleanse it, build models, and develop dashboards to support NHS and other health clients.

We value strong analytical skills, experience in healthcare data analysis, and proficiency with Excel, Power Query, Python or R, and Power BI. You will communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or higher qualification in a related analytical field.
  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis, modelling within the healthcare sector.
  • Adept at identifying problems and proposing data-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Query, Python, R, or similar and data visualisation software, including PowerBI.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including report writing skills.
  • Support to business development activities and service solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection: Requesting and gathering data from various sources, including clients, surveys, databases, and online platforms
  • Data Cleansing: Applying appropriate processes to clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and quality, removing duplicates and correcting errors
  • Data Analysis: Interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, including opportunities for performance optimisation
  • Data Modelling: Leading the development of complex and interactive models that can translate and illustrate the impact of new ways of working and configurations of service delivery to provide forecasts of future service demand and capacity requirements
  • Automation of Processes: support the wider Portfolio to automate current processes and increase our internal efficiency and productivity
  • Reporting and Visualization: Present findings through visualizations, reports, and dashboards, making complex data understandable for stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Working collaboratively across the business with other data analysts and as part of multidisciplinary teams

About Thebusinessunit

The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.

Overview Of The Role

The Healthcare Consulting Services Portfolio of the Health Division provides strategic and operational consultancy advice and support to healthcare clients to improve services outcomes for patients and staff. A key part of this advice centres on having robust data analysis and modelling outputs to provide evidence-based solutions for clients.

We provide support to Department of Health & Social Care, NHS England, New Hospital Programme, NHS clients and work internationally on projects in the Middle East, Canada and Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with demonstrable proven healthcare data analytical experience who can support a range of healthcare projects and complement our growing team of healthcare strategic and healthcare system planners, healthcare facility planners, digital specialists, facility managers and general consultancy specialists.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Candidate specification

Essential:
