Job summary

Premier Inn is seeking a Data Analyst to join a focused data function as we modernise our data tooling and analytics stack. You will work across pipelines, warehouse and BI to automate reporting, governance and self-service insights.

The role offers exposure to regulatory reporting and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL/Excel skills, experience with dbt Cloud, BigQuery, Hex, Fivetran, Postgres and Git, and a track record delivering impactful dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience with SQL and Excel.
  • Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt Cloud, BigQuery, Hex, Fivetran, Postgres, Git).
  • Experience delivering dashboards and data tools.
  • Autonomous with strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Attention to detail and curiosity; ability to investigate data issues.

Responsibilities

  • Handling data requests: respond to inbound tickets to answer questions and maintain data integrity.
  • dbt contributions: contribute to models, tests and docs within the dbt project managing the data pipeline.
  • Business Intelligence development: build tools and dashboards in our BI platform (Hex) for insight and automated reporting.
  • Regulatory reporting: assist in generating and automating required regulatory reports.
  • Operating the data stack tools: manage data tech stack, user management, governance, and best practices adoption.
  • Ad-hoc investigations and projects: undertake data migrations, data quality initiatives, or management reporting.
  • Migration from legacy tools and spreadsheets: support migration and integration with group systems.
  • Data governance and security: help maintain high data quality, governance and confidence.

Masons Avenue, United Kingdom | Posted on 07/22/2026 We're seeking a Data Analyst to join our small datafunction as we continue our adoption of modern data tools across thebusiness. Following our own acquisition by Anderson Globaland merger with another of their recent acquisitions, we've beenfocusing on systems integration and the migration from legacysystems and manual processes to a modern data toolset. We'reimplementing the pipeline, warehouse and BI tools to introducehigher levels of automation, quality control, governance, andself-service reporting across the business. We're looking to expandthe team to help maintain the pace of those developments. This is an opportunity to work across theimplementation of an entire analytics stack, working closely withteams across the business: with the Engineering team developing ourin-house platform, automating regulatory submissions for Compliance,and improving the efficiency of our Operations teams by providing BItools to automate, and provide insight into, their processes. This would be a great role for someone ready tostep up from a junior position, or for someone from a larger, siloedteam looking to broaden their experience across end-to-end datapipeline tools.

The Role & Responsibilities:
  • Handling datarequests: Respond to inbound request tickets from teammembers to help answer questions and maintain dataintegrity.
  • dbt contributions: Make contributions to themodels, tests and documentation within the developing dbtproject which manages our data pipeline.
  • Business Intelligence development: Developtools and dashboards for teams and managers within our BIplatform (Hex) to provide impactful insight and automatedreporting.
  • Regulatory reporting: Support in the generationand automation of required reports for regulatory bodies.
  • Operating the data stack tools: Support theimplementation administration of the data team tools: usermanagement, governance, optimisation, adoption of best practicesand new features.

  • Migration from legacy tools and spreadsheets:Support the migration from our legacy systems, and theintegration with other group systems as required.
