Sportradar, the world’s leading sports technology company, seeks a Data Analyst (Business Intelligence) to design, build, and optimize reporting interfaces. You will work with stakeholders across Commercial teams to surface answers to key questions and drive data-driven decisions.

You will join the Data & Insights team, reporting to the Commercial Analytics Manager, and contribute to a roadmap that enhances data governance, warehousing, and analytics capabilities across the business.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in data management or business intelligence.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with BI tools (Qlik Sense/View, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Statistics/Economics or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse stakeholder requirements to improve business decisions via data analytics.
  • Deliver analytics and reporting solutions using commercial, operational and business data.
  • Data modelling for reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and deploy data visualizations and reports for management and internal partners.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for BI tools and pipelines.
  • Support scalable data warehousing architectures and ETL pipelines.
  • Empower users to leverage BI tools for data-driven decisions.
  • Contribute to the BI roadmap in coordination with stakeholders.

Job Description

Are you passionate about Data Visualization and Data Analysis? Sportradar is seeking a motivated Data Analyst (Business Intelligence Analyst) to join the fast paced and dynamic Data & Insights team. You will be responsible for the design, creation, and implementation of the reporting layer. You will implement creative approaches to solving complex problems. In addition to building new features, you will constantly be improving and expanding existing reporting interfaces. The role is a key member of the team that will help develop the vision for our Data & Insights team. The Data & Insights team drives innovation and operational excellence through the projects they support across all units at Sportradar. You will report directly to the Commercial Analytics Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across the Commercial teams to surface the answers to key operational and business questions.

The Challenge
  • Analyse stakeholder requirements and opportunities for improving business decisions and operations efficiency through data analytics.
  • Deliver state-of-the-art data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging our commercial, operational and business data.
  • Data modelling for reporting and analytics.
  • Development and deployment of data visualizations and reports for management and internal business partners.
  • Present ideas and solutions to business and technical stakeholders clearly and understandably. Documentation of requirements and adherence to data governance protocols.
  • Support the design and build of scalable, reliable, and secure data warehousing architectures and data integration/processing pipelines.
  • Train and empower business users to leverage the business intelligence tools and analytics solutions for driving data-driven decisions and insights.
  • Propose new, innovative ways of using data to improve how we monetize our products and services, how we acquire which new sport rights, and how we analyze our current and future commercial strategies.
  • Co-create and deliver an ambitious business intelligence roadmap in close coordination with various business and technical stakeholders in the Sportradar group.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for BI Tools.
Your Profile
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the following areas: business intelligence tools, design, and development of dashboards and reporting applications, databases, data modelling, ETL processes.
  • The successful candidate will be practiced in the hands-on development of software or analytics solutions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on projects related to data management and/or business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases and advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Qlik Sense/Qlik View, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and/or Amazon Athena is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with predictive analytics, statistical modelling, or machine learning is a plus.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, Economics, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Autonomous, rigorous, creative, and a team player.
