Job description

Love turning numbers into decisions? Come and make data matter.

At STA International, our data should drive what we do next, not sit in a spreadsheet. We're looking for an analyst who can turn our operational data into clear, practical insight that people across the business can act on.

Reporting to our Head of Growth & Analytics, you'll own our management information, build reporting that teams can use themselves, and lead and develop our Junior Data Analyst. You'll also have a real say when new systems come in, making sure they're set up to report properly from day one.

What you’ll do
  • Own our regular MI suite, making sure it's accurate, on time and consistent across the business
  • Build dashboards and self-serve reporting so departments can answer their own routine questions
  • Deliver analysis that comes with a clear conclusion and recommendation, not just the numbers
  • Work with colleagues across the business to understand what they really need, and turn that into the right reporting
  • Write, maintain and document the SQL behind our reporting
  • Use AI tools to work smarter on queries, documentation and dashboards, while staying accountable for accuracy
  • Be the first point of contact for data requests, deciding what the team takes on and when
  • Line manage our Junior Data Analyst, setting standards, reviewing work and supporting their growth
What you’ll bring

You’ll have 2-4 years' experience in a data, MI or reporting analyst role, with strong SQL and experience building dashboards or self-serve reporting. You’ll have reviewed or overseen another analyst's work, whether as a line manager or through code review and QA. You can explain your analysis to non-technical colleagues so they understand it, you check your own work as a habit, and you're comfortable juggling competing requests and pushing back when needed.

It would be great if you also have experience with system implementations or migrations, AI tools in an analytics workflow, Python or R, web-based or custom reporting, or a background in services, legal or financial services.

Why join us?

This is a role where your work is visible and used. You'll see departments become more self-sufficient, watch your recommendations shape decisions, and help a junior colleague grow in confidence and capability. Add a competitive salary plus £9,000 OTE, and it's a great next step for an analyst ready to lead.
