Remote (UK-based) | 12 Months | Outside IR35 | Day Rate: DOE

Chapman Tate is looking for an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in the transportation and logistics sector to join a high-impact, fast-paced contract engagement. This role is ideal for someone who can bring deep industry insight into logistics data, operations, and performance reporting.

Overview

You’ll be supporting a strategic data initiative focused on improving supply chain visibility, fleet performance, and operational decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, using data to drive business-critical insights and actionable recommendations.

Must-Have Experience
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst in transportation, logistics, freight.
  • Strong skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and at least one scripting language (e.g. Python or R)
  • Experience working with datasets from WMS, TMS, ERP, or fleet management systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data clearly
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs across transportation, warehousing, and fleet operations
  • Clean, model, and analyse logistics data (e.g. routing, deliveries, delays, fuel usage, etc.)
  • Support decision-making through actionable insights and data storytelling
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend solutions
  • Present findings to senior management and non-technical audiences
