Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a fixed term Data Analyst for two years to join its central Business Intelligence & Performance Team, supporting data analysis and reporting for the Adult Social Care service.

Technical experience and practical ability to analyse and report data using MS Excel, T‑SQL, and Microsoft Power BI, are pre‑requisite essentials.

Importantly, we are looking for someone with prior experience of local government and data analysis that includes Adult Social Care.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse data from the Council’s Adult Social Care case management system LiquidLogic (System C Software) and other data sources.
  • Assist with statutory government returns.
  • Produce monthly performance reports.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc requests for data.
  • Assist with use of LiquidLogic and/or ContrOCC systems (full training provided).
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with others in the Council’s Adult Social Care service area, driving data analysis and performance management.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical experience with MS Excel, T‑SQL and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Prior experience with local government data analysis, ideally covering Adult Social Care.
