This role offers a salary of £41,851 per year with a hybrid working policy of a minimum of two days in the office.

Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills ideally working with MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical audiences.

Description

Are you a data-driven storyteller who loves uncovering the insights that shape strategy and make a real difference? Join Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and help us harness the power of supporter data to grow income, deepen engagement, and change lives for seriously ill children across the UK.

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The salary for this position is £41,851 pro rata and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use MS SQL Server to extract, analyse, and interpret supporter data, providing high-quality insight to inform fundraising and engagement strategies.
  • Develop engaging Power BI dashboards and reports (similar dashboard tools such as Tableau and Qlik may be considered) that enable colleagues to self-serve and make data-led decisions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable stories that drive strategic direction and campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with teams across fundraising and engagement to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to deliver evidence-based recommendations and optimise supporter journeys.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong SQL skills ideally working with MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, curious mindset with a passion for using data to drive meaningful change.

Experience working with supporter/fundraising data is beneficial for this role.
